OK. So we're keeping a special eye out for Odin this morning..... Cirrus: I remember Odin bringing fish very early when I was watching the chicks last year - it's much lighter earlier then so that may account for it. jsb: Thanks for the info re EJ's (non-)returning chicks. BIrds must be a lot like us: We love to see our kids but aren't too keen on having them move back in and taking over the house.

Good night Cirrus and thanks for pic of EJ and Odin.

Last year Odin didn't brood the chicks after they hatched. I wonder if he will this year. I don't think males generally brood the chicks, but Odin is not an ordinary Osprey :)

I do wish the intruder would leave EJ and Odin alone now and let them incubate in peace. Looks as though they could be in for a wet night/day again. Just hope the weather improves when the chicks hatch. Alicat hope you are feeling much better now but all the drama at LG will not have done you much good. I think everyone on the blog has found the last couple of days a bit traumatic.

Evening everyone. Phew- what a day/couple of days. The emotional rollercoaster is well underway now. What torment we have been through and this is before there are any chicks. Delighted to see things more settled on the nest now after such a difficult day yesterday and more intrusions this morning. Thanks again Alan for the video clips and everyone else for their posts and screen captures. Great that you called the centre for an update Margobird. Given the circumstances you must have been bracing yourself for bad news, so well done for biting the bullet and making the call. It was very reassuring to read the messages the centre gave you. Its quite a bit cooler this evening (again) but still dry so lets hope there is ample opportunity for plenty of fishing and a quieter day tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys a peaceful and restful evening/day wherever you are. Emma.
Like this photo ?Cirrus, just put it in my file for desktop backiground etc. Missed the evening action but thanks to all the blogs etc , caught up with the news. No doubt EJ is settled for the night

Linda have dropped a message on your page and I would be over the moon if you are sure you have time to do it. Thanks a lot.
