OK. So we're keeping a special eye out for Odin this morning..... Cirrus: I remember Odin bringing fish very early when I was watching the chicks last year - it's much lighter earlier then so that may account for it. jsb: Thanks for the info re EJ's (non-)returning chicks. BIrds must be a lot like us: We love to see our kids but aren't too keen on having them move back in and taking over the house.

Well, here we go again – in two senses. Problems page loading. Trust it will clear up soon – frustrating, but not the end of the world :)
Odin once more off after the intruder - EJ appears from quite far judging from her flight path. Almost as if Odin passed her by to give her a quick heads up about the intruder and be sure to go home quick.
And my wish: a fish before tomorrow.
Hope you all have a really good day today fans. See you all later.
Margobird. How good of you to phone the centre. Thank you so very much. And for all the informatiion given you.
It seems many of you found the site 'open' again before I did. Hi Tish :)
margobird said: Goodf afternoon and thanks for all the news. I should have looked at the daily update first but couldn't get in. Had to go out shopping this morning and although I had a quick look before I went could see that there was a lot of worried people. As you can guess I went otut with a very heavy heart. I phoned Loch Garten in desparation and spoke to a very nice lady who didn't mind at all being asked about what was happening. She told me there had been a fish this morning and that as we spoke (12.15) she could see Odin in the tree. She also told me that ospreys can go 2 days without eating so not to worry. What nice people they have there and I cried tears of relief for EJ and Odin. Not a very nice day, cold and damp at LG. Thanks to everyone for the caputres, I will now have some lunch. Think I can manage something now as I just feel so relieved. You certainly need nerves of steel when you get so attached to these majestic birds. Have a good day all.

That's nice to know, Margobird. At least it answers our questions.EJ sitting on nest looking peaceful and preening from time to time.

EJ alarm calling or she could be calling Odin?
Golly, EJ must be able to see Odin - would you agree ??? It's not an intruder alert call is it?
BUT ... that was Odin calling just then. Maybe tlhe intruder is back.
That was EJ sending an intruder alert !!
Caught EJ's frantic calling and mantling - intruder about. Sitting back on eggs again. Another bird making what sounds like an alarm call - stopped now.
Intruder alert ... and it lands on EJ ... how dare it :(((
