HI all: I'm late starting this. Be sure to check the last two pages of the previous Weekly Chat - some interesting links, news, updates on nest data, photos. I haven't had a chance to read them all but off to do that now.

Thanks for that Brenda, amazing views of the first feed. As you say it's always great to see how gentle they are in feeding the youngsters. I am always astonished just how quickly peregrines, and other birds of prey, grow - I suppose they get a high protein diet! In a few short weeks these little balls of fluff will have become the fastest animals on the planet.
More good news at Brighton:

Thanks DjoanS for the lovely clip of the little peregrines getting their first meal. How very carefully she placed each tiny fragment of meat, making sure the chick ate it before getting the next piece.

Sandy: LOL!!! I about fell off of my chair laughing when I read that!
Been doing stuff at home and out all day, so now first chance to update myself on all the posts. … Well, that didn’t take long – where was everybody today? Have I missed something? Diane – I too thought Tiger’s comment was brilliant – love that kind of dry humour! Another Saturday just around the corner – shall probably spend most of the day in the garden – and ought do a little bit of ironing (indoors) ready for holiday. Here's a picture of my little woodland area at the end of the garden - at the base of a young birch tree and with a decaying log for insects etc.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Back to read posts later, but Trucker Steve in lovely part of Utah right now.
Hi, all.
Well, apparently, the Indianapolis peregrine falcon chicks want their privacy. They have had a proper poo-fest on the nest cam, but you can still watch them on the cam located above the nest. They eat all day and all night. Here they are enjoying a midnight snack in the downtown darkness.
Hey Diane: That's a hoot about the poop fest - maybe a different location next year?
re: the discussion about tools. I just bought a new saw and miter (mitre) box the other day, and I'm very proud of them -- wouldn't even let my Dad touch them! I now have tools scattered all over the house, and it's on my To-Do list this weekend to gather them up and organize them in one toolbox. None of them are pink, however.
Lindybird/Annette: I've been watching the riots in Greece with interest. We've had a fair amount of media coverage of the collapse. The crisis in Greece is presumed to be affecting the U.S. stock market, too, along with other problems. Yesterday's "flash crash", the dramatic plunge in the market, has now been blamed on human error, computer glitches, trading programs run amok, and high frequency trading by souped-up computers. The truth is, the government and the financial community don't know what the heck is going on. Our market fell another 140 points today. Of course, our own tanking economy and financial corruption is affecting the rest of the world.
DjoanS: Thanks for the Derby peregrine link.
GeorgeG: Hope the increase in the dosage of your medication is helping you.
OG/Annette: Big Rig Steve is supposed to find out on Monday whether he will get a new truck -- and whether he can keep the Truck Kat with him. I sure hope so.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
Diane: What? No pink power tools? What a relief. I'm reading Trucker Steve's blog, but where are you finding all the info about the truck and TK. He sure went through some lovely roads today - I think the Wasatch Mountains with snow; very pretty. Make me want to plan a road trip myself.
Hey, Annette. I usually read the comments attached to the blog entries. You just click on "comments" and they'll come up. Much of the information comes from "TL", Big Rig Steve's mom. I'd love to go on a road trip.
(His blog entry of 5:12 pm says that he won't be driving again until Monday, and that's when he'll find out whether he gets a new rig. They're going to do maintenance on his current truck this weekend.)
