Weekly Chat, Sunday April 25, 2010

Hi all: Getting a late start here today. Been busy in the garden all day and now working on getting some of the glue out of the corners of the panes in the French door, so have back to computer.

Previous Weekly Chat's last page included long chatty posts from Lindybird and OG, a link from Djoan to the BOT Barn Owls, which have their first egg, and a colorful greeting from Diane to AQ who's having a birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AQ!  :-)

  • Hi Lindybird I didn't get a chance to log in last evening, OH took me for a meal as I was feeling somewhat fed up.  The visit to hospital didn't go as well as I thought because I thought there was only of these skin cancers with another possible one.  Unfortunately there are 2 that have to be cut out and another 3 which are suspect which they will take a scrape from and then they can find out if these will have to be removed as he well.  My appointment was for 4.10 and didn't get to see the consultant until 5.25 so I was a bit unhappy to start with.  Bit more to add to my facelift.  As you say I have something to look forward to and these won't be done until I come back.  Hope it is not until after my Great Nephew's christening on May 23.  Couldn't open the link but picked up from another post and how sweet is Einstein.  Loved it when he running around.

Good morning auntie DjoanS is going to be delighted with her birthday card.  You are so clever.

Hope you are OK and enjoying your Spring.  For the first time in 4 weeks it is raining here.  We actually need it though for the garden.

    Have a good day.

  • Just want to say Good Morning all, sorry had a lot of posts to catch up on, but thanks for all the pics and info, always greatly appreciated.

  • Margobird:  I loved Aunties card too. Well done auntie.

Sorry to hear Margobird that you have more to be done, and that you had such a long wait at the Hospital. I used to take my Mum to the Eye Hospital in Manchester and together with the journey, it took all morning just to see a consultant for about 10 minutes.  We had to take a book to read, and when your name was called, they just took you around the corner to yet another Waiting Area! Very tiring.   Strange how some, like you, seem to be prone to these things whereas others are fine:  my OH lays in the sun all day on holiday, for hours and hours (must add that he has lots of sunscreen on) & has never had a problem in his life with his skin.

  • Margobird: I'm so very sorry about your bad news!

  • Margobird, so sorry `bout your news :( You definitely need some pampering

And yes, I am enjoying spring although it is not very warm but I just adore the increased daylight time. I seem to be more energetic and need way less sleep than in winter.

  • Hello Diane and thank you.  Seems to be an ongoing thing and I don't even sit in the sun.  Consultant says it is because I am very fair skinned and more prone to it.  Will have to start putting a bin bag over my face soon.

    Thanks to auntie as well.
