I realised from Tiger and chloes Clocks this nest was ready to hatch.
and wondered if others have been watching?
KL goes for a comfort break leaving remaining chick alone on the nest. I literally held my breath until she returned a couple of minutes later!

Will they ever learn, but then I suppose, if you gotta leave, then you gotta leave, and as we do not have the privilege of sound, you wonder if she is calling for her mate to take over.

Very sad, Kate. I fear for the last one, but with luck they may learn and do better next time. Despite being large and fierce birds of prey, the odds seem to be stacked against the little ones. Fortunately, those few who live to adulthood and manage to find a mate and a nest can live a long time and have many offspring, provided they also happen to be lucky!
Kind regards, Ann
Just managed to catch a feeding of the remaining chick, fingers crossed for them.
Thanks Jane good news as you say fingers crossed.

KL feeding chick, not sure who brought the Fish, she is very gentle and moves around to feed her, then as she says enough and about to sit, little one tries to keep out side , as if to say'Noooo please do not sit on me' Chol:):)
I'm finding myself shouting at the screen, feed it quickly so it gets too big to be taken, stupid I know. A clump of nesting material brought to the nest before he flies off again.
