Not even the landing of a svelte, unringed (probably) intruder could mar a perfect Day1 for our healthy first bobblehead.
Here is BIRDIE's family portrait, snapped during the osplet's first feed:
And for those with no time to catch up on yesterday evening, here is a super photo posted by Operation Osprey on Facebook, of Odin trying to feed the osplet (which I have to admit I cannot see ;-D ).

IMAGICAT
A quiet night so far. EJ spent quite a while sound asleep:
She's just done a chick-check and egg-turn, got frozen:
Now back to sleep:
Site rather unresponsive, even more so than usual.
EJ chirping quietly, just for a second or two.
Baby is chirping now :-)
Waste of effort, cropping it, as only a flicker of osplet can be seen. Speakers up! Vocals drowned by humbuzz.
EJ is still asleep and I'm going to have an indeterminate nap. SYL.
INSERTING EVENTS PRIOR TO DAY-CREW's ARRIVAL.
EJ was wide away from before 0300 onwards.
This nice light between night and daycam doesn't last long.
DAYCAM 0429hr, finds EJ with a frosty tail:
FISH @ 0452hr - headless, not huge, rejected (too chilly to expose chick?), Odin nibbled and may have left with it, or may have left it on the nest for EJ to pick up later, unless that was a nestover:
0608hr EJ took a break:
Odin watched over osplet (in fact, they watched over each other) until EJ returned:
EJ picked up fish from nest and began feeding:
I expect I've overlapped the day-crew now :-/
Thank you Scylla for starting us off. It is now light and EJ appears to have frost on her tail! She is awake. I wonder if Odin has gone fishing already?
Good Morning Scylla and Rusty
Thank You for staring us off Scylla, with those superb snaps.
Thanks to everyone yesterday too for the fantastic posts, pics and videos of our first little humbug, what a treat it was to see it up and ready for its first feed.
EJ is sitting quietly at the moment.
You can just see a hint of the frost that Rusty mentioned on EJ's tail. Lets hope that makes for a nice dry sunny day for them today.

Good morning all. Frost still evident on EJ's tail.
Birdies LG DU update.
