We had a really good steak for lunch. We will be celebrating with our children in about 10 days. Our son and his wife will be here for a week after meetings in Geneva.
Friends have been here this evening. Don't think I will be up much longer.
Still here not gone away...
Next weekend with hopefully better weather.
At garage for a bit as mice might have nibbled screen wash bottle.
New one Saturday morning and I will test drive a car I really love. Will report back to OH who will be gardening.
He is adamant as winter tyres on our car have one winter left.
Oh to dream:-)
Everyone sounds very busy.....and of course, OG is still rushing around!!
Wendy, sorry, your last post sounded as if you were off shortly! Hope the car gets fixed OK.
It's gone colder here since it started raining - I put the heating on and now that my OH has gone out for his boys drinkie evening, I'm going to get a sherry! I feel a little better today. I've had bad hay fever and as you guessed, was very stressed by what's been happening here. Things have been calmer today, although we've not had a single day since we got Bonnie, without incident. I think it's put about five years on me.
Now that friends and family can see how stressed we both are about it, there is of course a lot of advice flying around. I listen to it all, but can't help thinking "I wish you could spend just one day with me to see how it is...." My OH flatly refuses to send Bonnie away anywhere to be "taught". We will soldier on for now.
Edit: She is a Springer alright, and they are known to be a lively breed, but she is one strong character. We are just unlucky ~ or lucky, if you turn it around as she is a lovely animal.
Evening all:
Lindybird: Savannah and Me is perfect for the reason stated. Besides, nobody wearing cowboy hats and boots would say Savannah and I!. My friend's OH here and my BiL in the UK have all been spotted on their respective roofs while spouses fretted below. Why is your OH so set against training for Bonnie? Couldn't he go with her?
Heather: Is youngest son making any contingency plans for a new job? Are his skills transferable to other industries?
OG: Your tomorrow sounds much nicer than mine. I'm off to gym and probably will wield the garden tools again.
KeithG: I always thought sunshine and balmy temps would inspire a more relaxed attitude to deadlines and other such pesky intrusions on our time...
Wendyb: Sorry weather has caused change of plans. So what is your car of choice?
Sun finally emerged at 3:30 and same weather pattern likely next week. A lovely evening now.
Good Morning, All. Dry here. My OH has gone out again, on a Golf Day, which is good as it will do him good to get out. I'm intending to potter around and do some of the things that never seem to get to the top of the list.
Brenda - Glad your lunch was enjoyable. It will be lovely for you to have a visit from your son & wife.
Really good few days in Amsterdam. More later and hopefully some pics when we (most likely OH) has worked out how to do it. He is better at the techie stuff, than me. Do I take it that egg no 2 was a dud, what a shame.
BRENDA the bulb fields in Amsterdam and outskirts have finished now. Kukenhof though was well worth a visit and it was easy to imagine how wonderful it would be with everything in bloom. Apparently April is the best time to visit.
Good to hear that you had a smashing time, Dibnlib. Looking forward to your pics, if your OH can oblige. We've been saying that at least with only two chicks at LG, it will be easier to keep up with EJs fish order!!
The sun is coming out here, now!
That is a shame, DIBNLIB, we saw wonderful colours on our way through to Germany from Amsterdam, only just over a week ago. They must have been just about to 'go over' as we say. I would love to go to Keukenhof some day.
