No mention of yesterday - I can't remember it :-/
A quiet night, but not nearly as much sleep tonight as last, she was alert for much of the time:
IMAGICAT
EJ distantly alarming?
EJ is alarm calling off cam. Odin is watching
I think I heard a Buzzard call too.
Someone got a bit to close to the nest A single screech from Odin sent it packing.

All calm now. Odin is still incubating (and hour and a half now), and panting in the heat. A blackbird sings in the distance.

I'm off for a couple of hours or so. SYL
Oddin is doing some long stints today
Odin stood and tidied the nest cup and has settled again
Bless his gorgeous tuftiness. Perhaps the heat is getting to EJ.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
She's back!

Lovely chirps too. I won't post snaps if you are going to, CLARE :-)
17.18 Odin is panting in the sunshine. I haven't been here all the time, but given that no one has seen a change over, EJ has been gone for about three hours this time - the last change over was at 14.20hr. I wonder whether her age is beginning to tell on her joints this year, or is is just a sign of the little intrusion they have endured. Buzzy flies/insects buzzz in the mic, and Odin looks over his left shoulder.... presumably checking on EJ instead of the other way round. How sweet!
17.25 EJ has landed with a lovely greeting
Odin flew off and EJ takes a while to settle down to incubate.
