Yesterday - a two-fish day, two-intrusion day (I think Moffer said that already)...
Today - a very bad start from my point of view, waking up late to a big monochrome buffer, refreshing to find EJ in glorious colour on the nest:
Just going to check when the buffer started.
We are where we are.
IMAGICAT
Good morning, all! Lovely to see His Gorgeousness, even without fish:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Definitely no fish involved there... but no air-shot to show empty talons, he morphed onto the nest :-(
08.59 EJ has returned to take over incubation. Odin has flown. What a lovely day! Morning ALL. Off to check the action/non-action!

Morning All,
Thanks for the updates, hope the weather picks up and they have a peaceful day from intruders. EJ is sitting quietly in the sun.
Morning Clare, Sheila and Twinkle (sorry if I missed anyone) Just had a shower as DN is calling this morning. Thanks Sheila for noting the time EJ returned. It is indeed a nice sunny day, but the wind is still fierce. EJ continues to sit.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
09.30 EJ called, and checked her eggs, and called again
Weather update, as Moffer noted, lovely and sunny but quite a wind blowing. Warm out of the wind. Great to see the sunshine on the nest.
Kind regards
Jenny
EJ has continued to call intermittently. Perhaps she is now ready for a brunch!
She comes to a crescendo, gets up and checks her eggs. There must be large fluffy clouds passing overhead, as EJ goes from sunshine to shadow.
and now she is silent, but looking over her shoulder towards cam tree. A preen
and waiting quietly
EJ's quiet for now, having a preen. The wind is blowing her feathers about.
