A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
HilaryJ said: I was astonished when Mrs G hatched her 6th and 7th eggs last year. Possibly she tends to lay larger eggs. Do you have the data for them?
We do have a timeline for Glaslyn 2015 No data on the size of the eggs

33 has been in and gone ... no fish, so he ate the last piece.
Good to know 33 is eating too as he must and no doubt, he'll go and get another for Maya and the chicks :-)
Latest blog ... three little birds
Thanks Karen, lovely.
