A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Maya shuffling herself into a better position and saw bobblehead with its head up
Poor Maya can't get comfortable She keeps getting up and shuffling around At least it gives glimpses of the chick
Cameras have gone down
Is a second hatching due??? Maya is turning and tucking the eggs.
33 has arrived and stands at the edge of the nest while Maya remains on the chick/eggs.
He has flown now ... I thought I saw a fish but he never moved for me to get another look.

Kate ... I too am wondering if we are about to see another hatch. I hope so as #2 is due and if so that would mean the little bobble is indeed #1.
A few turns 33 arrives Maya not moving so he flies off.( apologies for the cursor Doh!!
Maya rises so we can get a look :-)
She certainly is shuffling. I wonder .........
IMO Maya is displaying hatching behaviour. I wouldn't be surprised if we see another bobble soon :-)
This Egg is certainly getting moved around.
