A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Got a glimpse of the eggs a few minutes ago when 33 arrived. Maya flew off and 33 incubating
still appear to be intact

As I type maya has returned and 33 remains on the eggs
Hi Lmac .. yes I think so.
And BTW - thanks for cheering me up. You did as I laughed thinking about that Edinburgh walk and you describing my efforts to round them up as "herding cats" LOL
Maya alone on the nest
Brief view of the eggs just now, but I can't see anything. The cam didn't zoom in.

Maya has flown and 33 sitting
Someone is at the cam and zooming in, hopefully 33 will get up so we can get a better look:-)
Bit of zooming in but I could not see any movement, egg on left looks as if it could be 'the one'
Maya up and looking alert, wing flaps and cam zoomed in
I think something is going on as Maya pooped over the side of the nest so she is not for moving! The last and only time I saw this was when Maya was about to lay her 2nd egg.
Interesting!
