A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Maya has had a walk round the nest tidying up. Now trying to find a way to cover the ever growing chicks.
Birdies LG DU update.
Amazing how further on the Manton Bay chicks appear to be considering #1 at LG arrived first. Maybe just the camera clarity here. Anyway thanks for the updates and glad they are all thriving
Maya is trying to shelter the chicks
Tiger's Osprey News
Hi Everyone ... thanks for all the earlier pics and updates.
Quick check on the nest and a rather windswept and wet looking Maya continues to try and shelter the chicks.

Still looks windy and Maya continues to shelter the chicks. She has been looking up quite a bit and soon 33 lands - empty taloned!
33 didn't stay long, a little potter about and then flew off. I expect fishing will be difficult for him just now.
33 has just delivered a good size "flapping" fish ...
After a minute or so 33 flies off. Chicks are up and Maya starts feeding
Just no let up here ... poor Maya. At least the chicks have full tums and a warm mum to snuggle into
Another check and no change ... Maya is soaking and still she endures all the discomfort she must be feeling to shield her chicks - total devotion.

Maya looks as if she's drying out
It's been a rough day at Manton Bay for Maya.
