A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Here is a video of the intruder event - compiled from scraps, doesn't convey the drama really:

CHOL:):) you know only too well , that it would take more than a few marks, to ruin our long and understanding friendship.I dinna know what you were on about. xxx
Love the captures and vid below, sometimes the actual live event cannot convey the sheer excitement involved, but we really do appreciate all your time and effort.
I got waylaid and just checked Rutland downloads, there are about 20 of them :o I'll do some snaps as I go along...
First, what a scandal! Blue33 steals his babies' fish :o
They are saying on Chat that the intruder is 2R - Clarach. Emyr is studying captures and thinks it may be her.
I took dozens of grabs when this was going on so I'll see if any show the ring clearly.
