A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Maya continues to feed and 33 has flown ... Oh cam zoomed in!
Three bobbles :-)))))))

Oh, I am so behind now but all worth it :-) What a tremendous start to the day. But I really must go now!
How privileged I feel to have seen all three hatch. Wonderful :-)
Hi all great news about third hatch but no vids from me on this one I'm afraid!!

Currently being fed but #3 not quite strong enough to get his/her head up but is certainly trying.
Maya has just pulled the half eggshell out of the way and is having a feed herself. Now giving #3 some fish.
The others are back for more but things seem to be very even.
Birdies LG DU update.
Congratulations Rutland, Blue33, Mrs5R/Maya, and all you faithful Monitors :-*

Another feed and I've seen each chick get fish :-)
One being fed,
the one at the back
and the one nearest us
Haven't a clue what chick is what but doesn't matter - just good to see them all fed. She is so patient making sure each gets some.
Last year it was as if Maya had some internal clock as she fed them on the hour - I think we may very well see the same again this year:-)
It will be difficult to distinguish between the first two, while we might be able to tell the 3rd one at least at the beginning.

When finished feeding, Maya cleaned up and then settled down on the chicks. 33 then arrived and picked up the fish ....
The cam went down and couple of minutes back up and no 33 or fish! So dad has flown off to have his share or just removing it to keep the nest clean.
