A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

33 has settled down. I can't see anything yet.
The blog did mention various days previously, eg: 37, 39 etc so maybe it won't be today, but I am sure plenty of people will be watching and waiting regardless :-)
I think a little bit to go here.
I was fortunate to see all 3 hatch last year and the first hatched early evening. But I clearly remember before hatch there were sure signs especially from about a couple of hours before hatch. Maya was constantly listening and also turning the egg as I remember thinking that poor chick will be dizzy or worse sick.
Not seeing this behaviour just now but of course not to say it will be the same this year.

All still looking intact. Maya then arrives, quick check and settles down.
33 has returned, Maya flies off and 33 settles down once more
Chores to do now ... BBL
