It looks like a snow free old wise lady on the nest, It is nice to see EJ not coved with the white stuff.
With about 14 days to hopefully to the first of her eggs hatching, lets hope that the snow stays away.
How elegant she looks in black and white.

Yes. I too hope Odin is fishing successfully. Would he catch one for himself first and then get a second to bring to EJ?
Hi Rusty. It looked to me, like Odin had eaten today, by the size of his crop.
EJ doesn't need much food just sitting on the eggs, whereas Odin must eat to be able to feed his family and defend the nest.
We all saw what painfully occured last year when Odin was away.
Why is my reply box getting smaller and smaller????

And still she waits, quietly
time for a bit of a preen
and checking her bib
Well a girl has to look her best when he beau finally reappears
A check of the eggs
and back to waiting...

It always happens to me these days too, Moffer. Use Rich Formatting, although it slows a post, solves it.
It's not even Sunday yet Sheila. That's when it usually goes slow and wierd, and takes an age to log in :( I thought it was me doing something.
Dear EJ still waits. Coming up to five hours. Where is Odin?
She calls, just the once, and again.
EJ has started to call. Is Odin back... and wish supper?

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What/who's that?
STICK!!!! EJ has flown.
I want fish!
EJ's had enough of that and leaves.
Odin tidies up
and incubates the eggs
Oh no, Odin lands with a large crooked stick!
