Another lovely yesterday with our devoted couple, interrupted by only a BIG fish breakfast for EJ, some corvids, and an unidentified skydancing intruder! At this moment, EJ is symmetrically incubating three eggs and her head. As BNN's summary indicates, eggs came on April 7, 10, and 13, making osplets due to arrive around May 25th. How wonderful if they (and we) will have an uneventful family life this season!

As much as I hate to say it, could it be the case she needs him to incubate more? She is not as youthful as she was, however little she has visibly changed.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

He reluctantly gets up

She's back:
Hi all, Just been checking all the goings on as I missed out on yesterday with being away. Another great fish this morning, lot's of changeovers going on,at least she's getting a good break. Those pictures of Odin are really nice,he sure is a poser. Weather has been fab today.Thank's for all the pictures and updates.
Hi Twinkle! I think a public nest like this needs a male who's an utter poser.
I do love to see EJ dry, frost free and well fed. Here she is spread out in the sunshine, panting.
Impressive wing, beautiful EJ:
She continues to lay comfortably in the sunshine. Lovely.
I have to say, EJ and Odin have been very co-operative today (while I pack my memories in bubble wrap to move)
