Evening all: Gary and AQ have been reporting on rain and a snoozy EJ at LG, where it sounds wet! Poor EJ has just raised her head - she looks quite flattened by all that rain. :-(
Finally Odin came and brought a headless fish at 7.18am

I think Odin brought a fish. I was in the other room and heard the commotion. EJ had a problem getting air borne I think her wings are so wet . It looked like she had something in her talons as she flew away . Can any one confirm the fish ?
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Thanks Auntie!! EJ sounded frantic as I raced to the computer
Is that Odin who has just taken over incubation duties? Couldn't get a good look at his front but even from the side he seems whiter than EJ. I don't think we should worry too much about rain - ospreys are designed for fishing and are, I think, fairly waterproof.
It has been raining for a couple of days so EJ has not had the opportunity to oil her feathers with her preen gland and they may be getting soaked. She got into the air with her fish so I am sure she seems OK
Odin looks quite dry I wonder where he roosted last night . Under the nest? LOL
Just added fish pic to my previous post. Happy watching all I must be going for now :)
Thanks Auntie!! It looks like it may have stopped raining ( fingers crossed)
After EJ's "long night" sitting in the rain she is more than willing to let Odin sit for quite a long time on the eggs.
Good boy Odin and thank you Auntie. Odin really is doing his utmost and doing superbly well.
Hope the weather is kinder to them today - it looks very misty - which is wet - but so hope the torrential rain saga is over .
Off hiking in the Cotswolds today - setting off later on and out all day so I'm very happy to read of a fish especially after Odin's sterling effort late yesterday afternoon when he finally managed to bring EJ quite a sizeable fish with its head on - he had none himself and wonder if he went hungry over night., Wait on - its Odin on the nest currently - has there JUST been a changeover ? It was EJ when I logged on. Mmmmm
With his back to me when I first looked I must have mistaken him for EJ. So then, EJ flew off with breakfast fish and is enjoying a long break after what must have felt like a very long night. Ok then.
