As Birdie Num Num has reported, Odin and EJ managed 15 matings, leading some to speculate that all this frenzy can only mean eggs must be imminent. Even possibly tomorrow. However, as of now, the nest is empty, even as a possibly eggy EJ is roosting somewhere close by.
A lovely shot by RSPB yesterday of our loving couple in their Love Tree. :-*Thank you to BNN for her invaluable Daily Summaries.

Wish this had come out clearly:
She is calling very persistently. Surely not for nookie?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
She is now sitting quietly. Perhaps he's gone fishing.
She want da fish!

IMAGICAT
Good morning ALL. I am sorry, I am in a hurry, but had to pass on some info of something that happened before 8.00am this morning, during caper watch. I quote:
EJ and Odin went about their dawn mating enthusiastically, but barely raised any reaction when an intruding osprey passed carrying a fish, which was strange, but interesting behaviour.
Will there be an egg today? Will be back this pm.

Thanks Sheila. Interesting. SYL
EJ continues to call for fish
FISH!!! @ 10.19 She was in no hurry to take it!
It's taking EJ a while to realise that Odin's brought her one-third/half a fish - I hope she's not getting senile :o
FISH, 10:19!
Odin tidies up.
