It was wonderful to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return much earlier this year. Maya arrived back on the 21 March and 33(11) on 27 March .
Since arriving back Maya and 33 have reestablished their partnership and are busy preparing their nest to hold these precious eggs which we so eagerly await.
Maya laid her eggs after 9 days last year so we could see eggs anytime from 6 April.
I so love seeing these two preparing their nest specially B33 hes so thorough and funny to watch! Getting a bit worried now about our dear 3(97) its getting late now.
Morning Willow, yes ... fabulous photos of 28 and 33 fishing!
Are you planning to visit Rutland again this year?

Maya quickly follows 33 to the nest. UFO flying close by and 33 and Maya watch but nothing comes of it.
33 now takes off followed by Maya.

Morning Karen I would love to go to Rutland again but depends if OH would like to go again! Also time is an issue. I have 10 days annual leave in July so maybe if OH can be persuaded! Always wonder how S1,S2, and S3 are getting on as they were the first ones we have seen(in the flesh!)
With a lot of luck Willow, you may just see one of last years brood next season, so you better start planning now LOL....
Weather forecasters have said the South Eadst will be suffering from Saharan Dust :( Hope this will not affect our migrating birds! Its a warm and sunny this morning
Hopefully you can persuade your OH Willow! I'm not sure if we are going, doubtful.
I too wonder how S1, S2 and S3 are doing having watched them hatch last year, then fledge ... sort of get really attached to them so I can understand what you mean seeing them in the flesh. But as Mary say ... next year we could see them back and here's hoping we do.
That would be just brilliant :)
Maybe one will turn up at Glaslyn or Dyfi? Would very much like to visit Loch Garten too and Dyfi and Glaslyn ( that would be pushing my luck!)
