It was wonderful to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return much earlier this year. Maya arrived back on the 21 March and 33(11) on 27 March .
Since arriving back Maya and 33 have reestablished their partnership and are busy preparing their nest to hold these precious eggs which we so eagerly await.
Maya laid her eggs after 9 days last year so we could see eggs anytime from 6 April.
After trying out the nest cup, 33 flew off and then returned with a large clod of grass
which he then bedded in

33 trying out the nest cup. I've a feeling, like last year, he will be spending most of his time here. He just loved incubating the eggs :-)
Must go now and get some work done! SYL
Maya has been on the nest just looking around and 33 flew in and mates
Maya then flies off leaving 33 on the nest who then enjoys a little scrape :-)
More mating
and a couple of minutes later, returns and just stands on Maya's back !
33 has flown off leaving Maya on the nest
33 continues to bring in nesting material ... he arrives just now with a large clump of grass. I am wondering if Maya is peckish as she was looking at his feet?
Maya now takes off - love the angle of the cam as get a good view of them taking off
leaving 33 to flatten his grass.
33 now flown off
