Well, they're home - EJ and, yes, Odin, after some conjecture and hats being threatened with devourment ;-D
All is not yet 100% satisfactory - the mating is now up to speed but fish provision is below parr... sorry, par. For the past two days the good fish that Odin has delivered have mysteriously been unclaimed by EJ. Maybe she's feeding herself but there's no evidence of that.
LMAC has warned us of wet and windy conditions approaching and the wind started up a little while ago, sounds wicked!
Another nice nightnest tonight, maybe my email wasn't in vain after all.
IMAGICAT
She certainly doesn't behave like an aging bird. I wish we knew how old Odin was, though he must be at least nine or ten.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What a first morning the the opening of the VC. First proper intruder. Lets hope that they're thin on the ground this year.

She's calling....expect more mating soon!
I need to get ready for an afternoon at Minsmere now so I'll see you all later. Happy watching!
After a period of quiet, EJ starts to call again.
I will be in and out today.
Odin's back doing housework
EJ has flown.
Odin has flown.
EJ is back with a soft call
She's having a nap between calls.
I have to go for a while.
