Was it or was it not Odin yesterday @ ~ 6 pm? Too much time since the last season plus no sound on the camera makes for uncertainty. I cannot say, since I was Missing In Action today and just checked in to see the hubbub. One thing is likely --- by the time the week is out, we'll probably have a better idea! Here is the nest tonight:

I don't think anyone but Odin would wait this long. Where is EJ?

Is she coming?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
A change of position
I heard him land, but nothing since.
Sorry - error
Hello, I'm a newbie :) but was an avid watcher of the rollercoaster ride last year, and am back again. Just wanted to say that this bird, to me looks different from the one on the nest yesterday - as in this looks more like Odin, and the stripey-tailed one yesterday was an intruder!
Yes I think this is Odin.
One Life - Live It!!
Hi, Fiona - welcome to the madness! That's something I hadn't considered. This bird is certainly behaving like Odin.
Nice to see you, Granny Smith!
Thank you CC for starting us off on another interesting dayI am sticking with Odin, rather than a lookalike. His chest doesn't look as brown/orange without the evening sunshine, too.
Quoting from the blog about the 2016 team: "Nimrod Mifsud from 2015", and "Chris Tilbury from 2014"; and "Sarah White who has done some volunteering at LG in the past", will all have seen Odin in the feather before, and they will have film footage from last year, so it should be fairly easy for them to id 'Odin', particularly as they have the huge HD screen they can watch for far better definition that we have.
He is still waiting patiently for EJ to return.

Hi, Val! Nice to see you as well.
Hi Fiona I also wonder if the first bird yesterday was a different bird from this one. This one certainly looks and acts more like Odin.
Kind regards
Jenny
