Beatrice (Green 5B) is Dead

Just been reading Roy's report, Tiger. What a sad ending for such an osprey.

I was also concerned Tiger, but I tried to stay optimistic, however there is hardly ever a good outcome with Ospreys - so sad they never seem safe.

I am so sad to hear this news although I was concerned that this most reliable of ospreys was not behaving in her normal fashion.

I suppose the only thing to take comfort from is that her death was due to natural causes.

I feel heartbroken. 

My OH and I feel so sad as she was our local girl just down the river...

It's so very sad to loose another beautiful, well known ( tagged) bird. Poor Beatrice, RIP.

I have e-mailed Roy expressing our collective sadness at this very sad news.

I hope that is acceptable to all.

This is so heart breaking to hear this news.   It was a gut wrenching feeling reading these words.  

Poor Beatrice, you could set your clock by her, as Roy said if she had not set off so soon it maybe would have been a different story, how many times have we said "if only though".....    Absolutely gutted.   What a start to the season, Osprey watching is certainly not for the faint hearted,   

Very sorry to hear this news.  It's not a good start to the season for poor old Roy Dennis, having already lost Blue XD.  Let's hope some good returning news follows this.

Like others I was concerned reading the last update especially RD writing "she should have stayed in southern Spain" and I wish she had.  

She was a real favourite with us all and she will be sorely missed.    Beatrice led the way and was our signal for when she made a move we knew the season was underway and they were coming home.  I just feel absolutely gutted.    

Frst Blue XD and now Beatrice ...  what a terrible start to the 2016 season :-(
