HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat Thread is here.
In the U.S., we change to Daylight Saving Time tonight. I shared this link on my Facebook page, and I thought I'd include it here. This is Shades State Park (Forest), which is just down the road from me. My grandfather was a park ranger there for many years. It's one of my favorite places in the world. I'm so ready for spring weather.
Everyone have a wonderful week!
Brenda: Your OH must be very tired after his long treatment today: I hope it all helps with his condition. They can certainly do some wonderful things in regards to eye care, these days. We were most impressed with the care my OH received when he had his cataracts 'done'.

postscript: Bonnie has slept for most of today, which has been very welcome as I have had so much to do, emptying the cases and doing laundry, not to mention the emails and the Actual Post which seems to consist of a large number of brochures..... My OH says "They know who likes to spend money!" when I remark that all he receives as brochures are from the garden plant company!
Bonnie slept on the dining room carpet with one sleepy eye on what I was doing: she moved to get into a nice sunny patch of the carpet and then dozed. I expect she has felt stressed at being left, in spite of sis-in-laws kindness. She came alive a bit when my OH came back from golf, and then proceeded to mow the lawn ~To do this, he moved my laundry basket which was full of my knickers and bras, not yet on the line........ he only moved it about six inches away from the lawn, whilst he got on with the job, so they are now all patterned with green confetti......
LINDY- Sorry, but when you wrote 'brochures' all I could hear was Hyacinth Bucket ( pronounced 'book-ay') saying 'Brosherrs'. OH still watches re runs of Keeping up Appearances.
Re the cake- if I know OG the minister would have been given something delicious and homemade!! I do shop in the German supermarkets but very selectively, as indeed in all the shops. Luckily I have the time to wander between them all.
A super day here but now gone cold, the mist has descended and I can't see Inverness Castle at all or indeed very much apart from houses across the road.
Sorry about the dentist experience, OG. I have my preferences, too. The owner of our practice can be quite patronising in his attitude so we always ask for another practitioner. I have a bad gag reflex so have every sympathy with you.
LINDY- hope that you can get Bonnie sorted out and back in her crate!
LYNETTE- I have fond memories of listening to the church choir as a child and teenager. The Messiah and The Crucifixion were always favourites. My cousins sang in the choir but not me, alas, even in the Junior Choir. No talent in that direction whatsoever! When my son was married I was quite amused by his mother in law. She was one of the singers in the church choir. When they stood up to sing an anthem during the service(Mozart's Ave Verum) I heard her say 'Let's see what they make of this'.(Presumably because she wasn't singing herself).
I'd better go and load the dishwasher. OH will be dozing off by now. He has been working outside all afternoon. Sore muscles from riddling compost.
Now dark outside so must draw curtains.
Take care, all.
HEATHER My Mum went to school with Patricia Routledge. I think she was a year ahead of Mum. Mum said that it was obvious she was going to end up on stage as she was always quite brilliant. Ann Bell (Tenko)was also at the same school.
I remember Ann Bell in Tenko, DIBNLIB. I think that Patricia Routledge is a great actress who also does comedy very well.

Heather, I wouldn't expect OG to serve that cake to anybody, other than EE, if he chose it. Possibly used to just put the Birthday candles on. LOLWe don't have an Aldi near here, so I haven't had the chance to try them.
Patricia Routledge was born 17th Feb 1929
Hi everyone.
Not much to report from this end. Well I did thoroughly enjoy watching the Premier League darts this evening. Although its not long until the Ospreys come back, withdrawal symptoms are always strongest just before the birds return for the season. Hope everyone had a nice St. Patrick's Day.
Eagle Eye: A very Happy Birthday to you. Sorry I'm a bit late.
My thoughts are with Margo and family.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Good Morning. Slightly misty here, but supposed to settle down to 'cloudy' for most of today. I was very glad of the sunshine yesterday, when I had a lot to put out on the line.
Nice to hear from Heron!
Bonnie has settled down well to being back in routine: she slept in her crate both last night and the night before without more than a slight whimper. She seems tired which is probably because of the stress of being away, and is a little overweight because of the combination of less exercise off her lead, plus too many treats!
Our Youngest spoke to me last night: young Tomasz is doing well at school now he's settled in, and has been enjoying taking part in a Book Week, where they all dressed up as characters from their favourite books. Out came the bits of fabric and cardboard for Mum & Dad to get busy!
I hope Annette enjoys her family visit, and her virus infection is now fading.
