The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
33 comes in to mate.....and isgone
I think 33 must have delivered a fish which I missed, as Maya came back with it and the pair have been defending the nest, off she goes with her breakfast.
I really do hope the cameras are going to be up to the task this year but they seem to be dropping out for me on a very regular basis.

Morning all - thanks for earlier updates/captures.
Jane - I too hope the cams are up to the task! Must be so frustrating for them - I wonder if they are going down in the VC? They are going down quite a bit for me too .. squiggly thing on just now :-(
However before that I just caught sight of Maya and 33 who seem to be simply relaxing on the nest enjoying each others company

More mating ....
Maya and 33 continue to laze about the nest, mate and have the odd fly around. They are so laid back this pair, truly at ease with one another.
Just caught 33 having a little sit down :-)
Good afternoon all. Thankyou for all the pics and updates, just brilliant to see this vpair together again! Cant wait to see B33 over the top building efforts! Wonderful pics thankyou all :)
Both are on the nest, Maya having a word in 33's ear I think.
