The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Yes Mary ! and I think it was something like "we better do something. how about getting some stuff for the nest"

A UFO ( Unidentified Flying Osprey) around! 33 quickly flies off the nest and gives chase

Maya has been calling for about the last half hour! 33 has just brought in a headless fish which Maya takes and then flies off with followed closely by 33.
Maya returns to the nest with the fish then takes off. Quickly she returns and is now enjoying her fish

33 just flew off with a stick, obviously wasn't to Maya's taste.
