The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Just seen Maya no longer has her fish - did she give it to 33?

Still watching while setting dinner LOL
They have just stood about for a while and now 33 takes the fish from Maya
and flies off with it to eat in peace .
BFN:-)
Just popped in and read the news that 33 has arrived back, wonderful.
Thanks for confirming Maya let 33 have her fish - he does probably need it more than her at the moment! Looks like a good start to their renewed partnership :-)
Excellent news. Welcome back 33 and she even gave you a fish for Easter.
Kind regards
Jenny
I wonder how long it takes before he starts to rebuild the nest to his liking.
I too enjoyed following this pair last year.
Thank you for all the photos everyone.
Apparently Maya has been sitting with that fish for hours. Osprey telepathy ?

Well I hope he enjoyed his fish. That was so nice of Maya to have supper ready for him coming home :-)

And again ...
Maya and 33 make a good pair ... great to see them getting re-united and I am looking so forward to the season ahead.
