Dyfi Osprey Project March 2016

Keith, Emyr did say that a 3rd osprey had been spotted in the distance, before DD started sky dancing.

Keith  By the sound of it you could well be right about a third osprey in the area, possibly more!  ON5, which I think is the Clywedog nest is where Dai Dot and Dyleth were reported to have nested last year.  Two unringed birds have been seen there and report that they are settled.  So is DD philandering at Dyfi and ON5, or is there another unringed male at ON5. 

More skydancing above Blue 24, who is still demanding fish.

I presume DD is dancing again.

DD stops sky dancing and swoops down to mate again,

Does DD always mantle after mating - He seems to have done this on the last occasions. I don't normally watch but finding this episode today rather exciting.

I am sure Brenda will tell you.  I have been reading more than watching, having been out for most of the excitement!

Keith I have noticed that Odin does exactly the same. I am told that it shows that it is his nest. Not too sure about that theory myself though.
