AQ: It was all those skimpy summer clothes that got me wondering... :-)
Good Morning, All. I've been reading and lurking but not posting much: sorry.
Diane - Hard for you when you have a flare up - I presume you have enforced rest when that happens. At least, I hope you're not doing much. And that it eases off, soon.
AQ: Your daughter must be very grateful for your help, but she must realize that it's hard work when you're older. I hope it all becomes less necessary as time goes on, and she only has the twins to care for in the daytime.
Heather - You certainly came down with a bang! Do take care: hope your cut heals up soon.
Clare - I thought you might be interested to hear that I've got a new toaster on order!! Nothing wrong with the old one (yet) but there was a good deal at half price, so I sent for one to keep in stock ready for when the present one gives out :-) OH doesn't know yet, but I'll have a job hiding it when it arrives!!
Happy Birthday to Annette (today) and Brenda (tomorrow). I thought I'd post a card since you both are celebrating this week.

Good morning, Lindy. Hope you like your new toaster. I knocked mine off the table this evening. Luckily, it still worked. LOL
Glad it still works, Diane!
Don't go throwing any more electricals around the room, LOL!!
What a beautiful card for Annette and Brenda, I'm sure they will love it. I noticed that its a rose, which Annette loves.
-- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNETTE - Hope you enjoy your day. --
Hello all
And happy birthday(s) from me, as well!!
DIANE, hope your flare up doesn't last too long, I hope your hands aren't too bad x
LINDY you might have to put the new toaster in an obvious place, it is said that is the best place to hide something:-) Yes, I couldn't stop myself falling, there nothing to hold on to and the door is a sliding one with no handle on the inside. Typical. Anyway as OH says,' no bones broken but thousands rendered homeless'. (He is referring to any functioning brain cells that I might still have had).
MARGO - hope that the jungle juice is working it's magic xx Can't remember, to my shame when the concert is, but think it is this week?
OG, I can't believe that this is the last week of treatment. You must indeed be a 'weel- kent' face at the OTB! They will miss you.
EVERYONE - won't start writing names because for sure I will miss some out - take care.
All well - and a beautiful sunny day. Even the river Border Esk is down where it belongs now! Sun was too bright in the study window to type this morning. Been busy since lunch (home sandwich again) and now got to go for regular blood tests. Then going out this evening - only as far as Gretna, so not too tiring, and photos of "Scenic Scotland" seem too good to miss! Earlier appt at Carlisle tomorrow, so probably won't catch up till afternoon!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
ANNETTE/BRENDA A very happy birthday to you both... I seem to have spoken to so many people over the last couple of weeks who, like me, have their 60th birthday this year. Luckily mine is a few months away.
I really enjoyed my morning swim. The first half hour or so I was on my own, As I got back in the pool after my 2nd visit to the loo, a familiar face bobbed up to say hello. I haven't seen her in ages and we never managed coffee before as OH was usually waiting for me. Today I had no such restrictions so we enjoyed an hour and a half chat at Starbucks and she kindly drove me home. We will definitely take the opportunity to walk our dogs together now and then. She lives at Dalcross so not far away. and has a mixed breed a few months older than Benson so they should have fun.
