HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Last week's chat thread is here.

I saw R. T. Hawk on Thursday. It's been so cold here that I had to put the battery charger on my car for a long while. I went out as the sun was setting to remove it. R. T. screeched at me when I went out the front door. When I closed the car bonnet/hood, he screamed at me loudly and flew around his tree. I think he was telling me off for disturbing him when it was time to roost in his tree. He called more gently when I went indoors. :-)))

Everyone have a wonderful week. Roll on spring!!!

  • Annette / Diane I have just been looking at pictures of the snow storm, Jonas. It already looks extremely bad. I really don't want to see that heading to the UK. Feel so sorry for those people who are living in the midst of it all.

  • Travel etc all worked out well today and I was out from treatment at the time I was due in!   Was given the times for my extra appointments - not so consistent as previous, but still around middle of the day.  We came home for cheese and crackers with salad and then OH did some cleaning while I made a casserole.  Working on a few things this evening - including the all-important Friday shopping list!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Quiet day here at home but after the first non itching night for about eight weeks I had loads of energy and caught up with several jobs around the house. OH and son did a couple of runs to the recycling centre today. I feel so happy that at last he realises that hoarding things 'in case' is so daft. Why would you keep a steam iron that didn't produce steam any more? Etc Etc. And once something goes into the attic it never sees the light of day again. Except for the Christmas decs, of course :-)

ANNETTE - I heard Mrs Palin shouting 'stump for Trump' and so on. She is one seriously loud lady. Makes me feel more than a little concerned about the world if those two get in. Just my own opinion--

We haven't heard from George for a while. Hope he is OK.

  • Pleased that everything went so well today, OG. I have just written a shopping list for OH to collect from Waitrose and Boots, while I am in the hairdressers tomorrow. We will then have lunch out.

Clare thinks it is a case of fart by name and fart by nature when it comes to Trump.

  • OG - Sounds like a good day today. Glad all going well now.

Brenda - You do always seem to get the rain on "hairdo" day!!  We don't know where/how/who our sons family caught their bug, but certainly we were lucky not to catch it ourselves.  My brothers relationship with his UK family is a mystery to many: he still sends cards to some of my cousins but never communicates with anyone otherwise. I sent some photos of our Eldests recent wedding to him in an email but have heard nothing since. It doesn't worry me, it's been like this for such a lengthy time that I long ago got used to it.

[/quote]I think if he came to this country I'd have to go and see him, if only to start the place laughing at him!  I'm so glad he can't stand for election here.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • So pleased all is well with treatment OG. Initially I was told 25 weeks but luckily they told me early on I would need an extra 5 treatments for mop up.

Tired day today after a long walk with Daisy in ice and snow. I think 11 minus something walk had taken there toll. Her Friday date with Alex tomorrow so I will get some me time.

Rain lunchtime so snow etc going.

Heather I love a clear out also love a skip could fill one in seconds!!
