HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's chat thread is here.
I saw R. T. Hawk on Thursday. It's been so cold here that I had to put the battery charger on my car for a long while. I went out as the sun was setting to remove it. R. T. screeched at me when I went out the front door. When I closed the car bonnet/hood, he screamed at me loudly and flew around his tree. I think he was telling me off for disturbing him when it was time to roost in his tree. He called more gently when I went indoors. :-)))
Everyone have a wonderful week. Roll on spring!!!

Good morning all on a very cold but sunny morning. It is on days like these that you can see it is staying lighter for longer. Billie nd I have not ventured out very much firstly because it was so wet and now because it is so cold. I wonder if she remembers spending a very snowy winter as a stray. Quite comical, this morning as OH had a local meeting so left home later. Usually as soon as he has gone she takes over his settee. This morning she had to wait so she sat on the floor giving him a hard look. Softie that he is he relinquished his seat and Billie immediately took over. She will sleep for hours now only waking to eat, drink or asking for a brush which she loves. In the evenings she does let OH have his seat back and sleeps elsewhere.
i am still feeling relatively well but have a blood test next Tuesday andcsee consultant on Wednesday. Appointments approached with some trepidation but hoping we will be able to work out when I will need another transfusion to make sure I get to see Joe Brown. Hard to believe it is only just over 2 weeks away.
The next thing to aim for will be the arrival,of our Ospreys. Not that far way now.
i was also a big fan of the Eagles, they had such a unique sound.
Such a shame that we are gradually losing icons of the music world. OH is in the process of downloading David Bowie and Eagles tracks to my iPod.
Lindy hope you get out to lunch today. How is your foot and especially the toe.
OG sorry to read that your treatment has been extended and that you had a stroppy consuktant. Hooe you are feeling OK ad just to say I am always thinking of you.
Lynette Happy Birthday for tomorrow and enjoy your meal.
Annette always pleased to you have had some rain and that you enjoyed your concert.
diane good to your friend the R.T hawk is watching over you. Hope you are taking care and keeping warm.
Clare and Limpy thanks for all the bird photos I am so enjoying them. Helen really sits a horse well something I always wanted to do as a child but my parents could not afford it. Bringing up 3 children placed quite a restraint on their spending. Having said that we still have good childhood memories.
Heather hope your daughter's appointment was OK yesterday.
AQ hope you have not melted, I don't think I could manage such high temperatures. Pleased to see Nanny duly seems to be a little easier now.
keep warm all and rake care.
Love Margo x
Heather must remember that comment, made me smile.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good Morning Everyone. We returned home Monday evening.. I really don't know what happened to yesterday. I washed, dried and ironed all our clothes from the suitcase, but when I sat down, I fell asleep for a couple of hours. OH was out, bowling. Looking after Ruby was not too traumatic, but very tiring. She wanted to play most of the day and was awake from 6.30am each morning. The backs of our hands prove that we have been playing with a pup. Needle teeth and claws :-(( She goes for her first day at Doggy Day Care this morning. Vet was very pleased with her progress yesterday and has asked permission to put a photograph of her on his FB site. I don't know how daughter and her partner cope with the pup and the hours they work. I guess they are younger. LOL
OG, So sorry to read about your recent traumas and extended treatment. Hope they sort out your problems soon. Easy to say, I know, but do try and not get anxious.
I don't think I will be able to answer all your posts from last / this week pages. You have been very chatty.
Good to see you back, Brenda! Sounds like you did very well looking after Ruby.
Thanks Clare. Lovely photograph of Helen on her horse. My daughter adores riding and went for lessons from a very early age. Work now means that she doesn't ride much these days, which is one thing she does regret not being able to do. I have enjoyed looking at your photographs, but it is a cold hobby at this time of the year. So pleased you are enjoying Minsmere so much. I have never visited there yet.
Welcome home, BRENDA. I think I would have fallen asleep, also. Just like looking after a young child :-)
Middle daughter was a bit traumatised after her gynae appointment yesterday. She was weeping when she emerged from the treatment room. I'll not give a blow by blow account on here since it may not be to everyone's taste. However she said that the doctor was very kind and gave her the maximum local anaesthetic that he could. Outcome is that biopsy sample has gone to lab, camera didn't show anything sinister looking but she may need a hysterectomy in the future if the treatment prescribed yesterday doesn't help.
I must be one of the only people around who had never heard of the Eagles, given that I was only in my thirties when they were at the height of their fame:-(
Lovely to read your news, MARGO, and thanks to everyone else, too.
Heather B said:'they responded with the speed of a slug on Valium'.
Definitely one to remember, Heather. Sorry your daughter had to endure such treatment. I hope the prescribed treatment works for her.
Heather - sorry to read that your daughter had to have a bit of a rough time: as Brenda says, hope it works. At least these days they don't 'whip it all out' with a full hysterectomy unless they think it's absolutely necessary.
Margo - laughed at your tale of Billie and her place on the sofa! Good to hear that you're feeling reasonably well.
We enjoyed our outing: went to Bents Garden Centre in Lancashire, which is a pleasant ride through the countryside of Lancashire and Cheshire. We both had Pea & Ham soup with big chunks of bread, yummy. Trotted around what was left of the Christmas Sales but managed by strength of will not to buy anything there. Did persuade my OH to indulge in two cheerfully red shirts though, half price. He looks good in strong colours. We also came home with a new type of dog bed, which is made of cotton loops rather like a fluffy bat mat and is recommended for your pup if he/she gets wet & muddy. Time will tell - it may be wonderful or she may chew it all up, first go..........
Diane: Thanks for the link to the corner in Arizona. I see they left flowers in Frey's memory.
Lindybird: OH stayed home last night. I sat down a few weeks ago to look at the winter concert schedule - I don't subscribe to the whole series - but this one appealed. Only a few scattered seats were left. OH declined the option, though I think he regretted it...
Margo: Good to see you. Oh my, Billie has your OH well trained.
Brenda: Welcome back, scratches and all.
Heather: Hope daughter's treatment kicks in soon.
My hired muscles are arriving at 1 p.m. to dig out plants. Must remember to tell them to leave the holes as I'll be putting others in there soon.
Take care all.
