Lots of action at Dunedin today

I sent Diane an email to ask if White SS was back, and I noticed they have zoomed the camera in now, but I still cannot see if the male has a white ring or not.

Fantastic news to see two ospreys at Tweed Valley .. thanks Starling and Mary.
I think it is White SS by the way and the place he is sitting more so now seeing Mary's close ups - the chest marking. I so hope it is him but who is the female?
I've just checked the nest and the cam is back to the usual position and there is only one there just now. Hopefully we will get an update soon.

Good news re Tweed Valley. They need to put up a new blog asap.
That is the most recent Blog Site that they have been using Sue, so I would imagine if there is going to be a new blog it will be there.
I thought it was a bit of a coincidence that after I sent the email to Diane, that they were zooming the camera in and out.
Anyway we will just have to wait and see if there is a blog posted with any information about the project.
I have received a reply from Diane, confirming that it is White SS at Tweed Valley. This is fabulous news.

Thank you, Mary. Really wonderful news.
It is great news Brenda, after all his years of successful nests, 10 years I think, then these last two years have been so sad for him, I am so happy he has returned and I hope he goes on to have a good year with AS6.
Oh what brilliant news Mary! Let's hope for a successful season for them.

Have to say Mary you must have really good eyesight, I could see a blue ring on the female but not the white one LOL. I better take myself off to specsavers!
Is there any background information on the female? I'm assuming she is a young osprey?
