Latest from Tweed Valley
Thanks for all the nest news, Alan.
Good to see that chicks at Esthwaite have been ringed for the first time. Only the platform ones though, not the other nests.
Thanks ALAN Chuffed about Caerlaverock Do we know who the adults are?
The 3 chicks at Aberfoyle appear to be doing well.

Threave ospreys ringing pics
Alan, Thanks for the link--yet another 4 chick nest--fabulous!
Patily and Alan, Any Caerlaverock blog, FB, etc. will be more up to date than this, but the Jul/Sept WWT magazine just out has the following on page 48 (Caerlaverock) (though I've no idea of the interval between writing and printing so could have been written several months ago!): 'The ospreys returned in April, but in something of a contrary mood. Having carefully set up the camera to film their usual nest site, the pair checked out another tree 250m away and settled down to nest there instead. No film, then, but there'll be regular updates on how the pair is getting on. They're believed to be the male who has visited for the past decade, plus the female that arrived at the end of the last breeding season. She appeared to be settling on the nest in mid-May, so hopes were high of breeding success this year.'
Kind regards, Ann
