Lots of action at Dunedin today
Webcam
Aberfoyle have decided to stream and pleased they have done.
It has been due to unfair reviews of events such as ringing, reporting of ring numbers, web cams etc. that they are not as interactive as some would like in reporting certain facts.
It is unfair to use statements such as " Wonder if we will get any confirmation from them, seeing as how one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing" if we wish to view these birds and receive regular updates.
I am so pleased there has been a change of mind. Really enjoyed watching this nest last year.

Yes I enjoyed watching the cam very much too Starling. It is very strange that they should issue a reply to me on their website saying that there would be no cam this year, and just a few days later the webcam is up and running. That doesn't really matter though, as the main thing is the ospreys are back safely, and hopefully this will be a productive year for them.

New Facebook page for the Aberfoyle Nest, two birds back.
Thank You Vespa Crabro. When the cam was up early I thought it looked like a Blue Ringed bird on the nest but weather not best for getting a clear capture.
So not the usual female.
The most brilliant news from Roudsea. White YC is alive and well.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

The most exciting news for a very long time. Probably since 2013.
