Lots of action at Dunedin today
Webcam
Its a great place, hope you all get to enjoy it now, remember to wave for the camera,(if you walk far enough you might just spot a bit of osp fishing!),look out for the kingfisher nest too!
One reason to watch Countryfile. :-) No idea when it will be featured though.

Just tried the Tweed Valley webcam but its not started yet, so they cannot be LIVE 24 hours, will try again at 9 am to see if that is when it is switched on.
Cannot find any recent blogs from TV either.
Don't think this UPDATE from LDOP in Bassenthwaite has been posted before. Intruder's are everywhere, not good for the resident pair but good for the growing Osprey population.

Mary, the set up of the nest/webcam may of changed but the last I knew was this cam was solar powered with the location being so remote and the cam was never up until after 10.00am. Viewing hours increase in the summer with more sunshine.
Hopefully we'll get an update soon. I've no idea if Diane Bennett, their Osprey Project Officer is still in place.
Edit: This has just prompted me to check Caerlaverock and I see their cam isn't up either. I am hoping they have a better season and the female who appeared late in the season last year comes back and pairs up with Yellow 80. Another nest I like watching, Yellow 80 is a good male.
Just checked Karen and it is still not up yet. Will try again later.
It was a good webcam at Caerlaverock, clear if I remember, so fingers crossed they have more luck this season.
MARY - thanks for the update on Threave appearing on Countryfile - I am really pleased for them. Apparently one of them brought in a fish while filming so as you say "one reason to watch countryfile" and surely the fact Sean Bean is to become a presenter is another:-))
It mentions to be shown soon, so will be watching every week waiting patiently. Although I could be at Threave myself before its shown LOL...
The Tweed Valley cam is up now. I think viewing times just now will depend very much on the weather.

Well Well Well, so much for telling us that there would be no webcam. Aberfoyle's webcam is up and running and there is a bird on the nest. Looks like both birds are back. Wonder if we will get any confirmation from them, seeing as how one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. :-)
