Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

What a shame I was late starting to download Glaslyn today, following a heartfelt plea from B&B. I don't know whether I'm on my thingummy or my thingummy.
However, checking what I've got so far, I was going to say "saw some bluey birds on the nest" but it turns out they were a couple of Starlings. I like them, tho I know they've got a wicked side ;)
IMAGICAT
Under nightcam, when FF-ing thru, the nest is teeming with insects, on the bordering branches as well as in the centre.
From the Sightings page...
15/03 21:28 POWYS : Osprey, Elan Valley [S]one roosted in a dead conifer this evening.
A strange scene at the moment. Reflection off the camera somehow??
Morning Mike - very strange! Sort of looks like beams from search lights:-)
On the nest now - enough beak angles for ya?
They are so settled-looking ;-D
