Have just been reading the Rutland Manton bay discussions from this time last year. Maya returned 6 april and we were all getting very concerned! I think even the team were concerned! How relieved we were when B33 and Maya returned!

Just saw this posted online! That's great news - on the blog they don't mention that Blue25 breeds with 11(10) - she is Blue24's sister and he is Glesni's brother! They are a formidable year, the 2010 Rutland birds!

Thank you, Hilary :-) I have always been rather fond of Blue28, I expect because he seemed slightly disadvantaged by his 'wonky wing' and got (r)ejected. (But he couldn't have been _that_ disadvantaged, as plenty of other youngsters don't even make it thru their first migration.) I hope to see him again, but it mustn't be at the Manton Bay nest.
What an incestuous lot they are :o
Good morning all. Is Blue 28 the young man who tried his luck with Maya when our dear Mr 5R didnt return? I think he got seen off by Blue33! So look forward to their return can hardly sit still :)
