Patily - I read somewhere that 18 ospreys were back which included all the birds from last year apart from 03(97) and his mate.
I'll try and find the post and repost it for you :-)
Thank you
Patily, found it :-)
Sandra C kindly told us following her volunteer walk.
So same 7 pairs that bred last year and we know from the Lagoon 4 blog that 51(11) and 3J are there. I would expect there is a note of the 7 pairs. Like you say, I wish they would just tell us instead of having to work it all out!
Thanks KAREN I must look at my notes from last year

5N(04) & 01(09)
30(05) & 32(11)
Maya & 33(11)
Ringed Female from Argyll & 03(09)
00(09) & 06(09)
2F(12) & 28(10)
25(10) & 11(10)
With the new pairing of 51(11) & the newly arrived 3J(13) we have 15 of the 18 birds that were here on 9yh April. We know 30(10) is about as he was said to be holding territory at site N. I assume the last two of the 18 are 1J(13) & 4K(13), as there were announced to be back last year.
With 3J(13) back we know there are at least 19 around now.
4K(13) was still in France on 24th April, not confirmed back at Rutland yet.

I have record of 2 other Rutland chicks returning in previous years. 8F(12) and 1K(13). Not sure whether they were seen a Rutland or elsewhere
