Thank you Sheila.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank you SHEILA
Sheila, Thanks for the links. I had given up checking for new blogs.
Patily, I hope someone has contacted you to answer your August question above but if not, I believe the MB chicks were only ringed and were not given tags this year.
Kind regards, Ann
Yes, you are quite right, Ann. MB chicks were only ringed. I think they have only tagged adults recently, and only 30(05) is currently tagged. She has returned to her usual beach in Senegal.
Kaleigh has been busy today. Another lovely blog, this time about the successful reintroduction of water voles.
Lovely little video "West Africa 2016 by John Wright".
Some gorgeous vari-birds and then some gorgeous ospreys, some ringed - so easy-going when they're on holiday ;-)
IMAGICAT
Oh, thank you Scylla, that's a wonderful flavour of Gambia. I was about to post that latest blog. My goodness, Kayleigh has been busy today!
edit.? or was it Senegal, as I think JW and two others went there after their visit to Gambia??
Sheila and Scylla, Thanks for the links.
There was a bird Blue 2AA (right leg) spotted in Portugal. Rutland confirmed that it is one of theirs hatched in 2016
