EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Sandra C - thank you so much for the information, very interesting!
Do you know if there any ospreys using the nest that was rebuilt this year at Lagoon 4?
Unknown said: I've just got home from rutland. They have 18 ospreys back including the 7 pairs which raised chucks last year. Only two haven't returned so far - 03 (97) and his mate. They had hoped she would return and pair up with one of the 4 single males.

Thanks for that info. Really useful.
Some news from Tim about the World Osprey Week 2016 which starts tomorrow
I think that the lagoon 4 nest has one of the single males hanging around. I can't remember who though sadly
Thanks Sandra .. good to know a male has taken an interest! Hopefully a female turns up for him :-)
How was your volunteering day - are you going to be involved this year? I do hope so as I know you are keen :-)

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I'm going to arrange a tester shift at rutland. I'm very keen on being a part of it. What better way to indulge an ospreyaholic!
That's great news Sandra, really pleased for you :-)
