HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is HERE.
Saturday evening was perihelion, the time when Earth reaches its closest point to the Sun for this year. Hello, Sun!
I hope everyone has a wonderful first full week of 2016!

Good Morning ALL. A damp foggy morning here. So much standing water.
Diane, A lovely card for Margo and good to see you managed an early post, Margo. I know it takes so much effort from you at the moment.
It's going misty here, now Brenda, after a clear start to the day. I'm relieved that we're told we have no more rain until tonight, as our garden is so soaked. If I walk on the lawn, my feet leave footprints!
Still busy packing up the Christmas debris, as I'm sorting as I go - some of it really has to go!
Then later, off to visit sis-in-law.
Sorry about the latest disappointment, MARGO - thinking of you.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
The builder for the houses next door has sent us all a letter to say that they will start demolishing the bungalow tomorrow. He says he will keep to the management plan and keep vehicles off our Close. We will all be watching. I hate to think how much mud will be left on the road though and then washed down our hill. The site is so flooded already. He is supposed to install a vehicle wheel washing machine for all site vehicles.
BRENDA hope the building doesn't cause too much of a problem.
A very respectable 54 lengths and nice and quiet. Forgot to say that I finally forced myself to take the final belongings of Fingal and Dillon to the SSPCA yesterday. They benefitted by 4 bowls inc a massive water bowl for when we had 2 Goldies, also 2 collars and a lead. If they don't use them, they will sell them. It might seem daft as of course they haven't been used for over 2 years, but I still found it difficult.
Thought you would like these 2 pics posted on face book by friends.

Good to hear from you this morning, Margo. Keep your chin up - everyone on here is rooting for you. Our thoughts are always with you.

Dibnlib, I do fully understand how you felt. I still have my last dog's collar, although I did give everything else to a dog's home. Well done on your swim.
Great photographs, especially the first one, obviously.
Just to say that all went well today and Lucy and Katie in the kitchen received lots of well deserved compliments. OH and I will have leftovers this evening, no cooking, hurrah!
