Thread carrying on from here
So the new year has arrived and now the countdown to the osprey season has seriously started. What will it bring? That is as always a hard question to answer but it will no doubt brings lots of ups and downs.
So what are your wishes for the 2016 osprey season?

About Rutland, I was thinking, considering the amount of posts last season (over 4000) that perhaps it would be a good idea for 2016 to think about splitting this thread either by having two threads separating general info and the Manton Bay nest or a monthly thread.
One idea could be to continue the existing thread “Rutland Osprey Project 2016” for all updates, links to blogs, diary updates for all the other birds/sites excluding Manton Bay and have another thread “Rutland - Manton Bay Nest 2016” specifically for posts and captures of the MB nest.
Or another idea could be just to keep one mixed thread but perhaps monthly opposed to a full season thread.
Just my thoughts and it would be good to hear what everyone else thinks and any other suggestions.
Good to see you again Karen , and do hope you are well on the recovery, and was
wondering if you missed or were able to see this Kayleigh's blog and Video, on Rutland,
Hi Kate, thanks and no I hadn't seen this video. I've just watched it - wonderful! Thank you so much for the link. Forgot just how affectionate Blue 33 was towards Maya - what a character he is and like Willow, I can't wait to see him return. Thanks again.

And a Very Happy New Year to you too Karen. I think your suggestion has much merit. We do get the occasional snippets of other information on the other various sites and they easily disappear among the MB updates. I am sure they gave information on one or two new nest sites, but somewhere the site name has changed, and I can't find either! So a yes from me!!

Hello Karen, great to see you posting again and so sorry that you have not been well. Glad you are on the mend and take it easy, sit back and watch the coming drama unfold! Its not long to wait now. The Rutland team are going out to West Africa osprey spotting and it is my great hope that the may spot S1,or S2 or S3, what a joy would that be! Or any of them really! I think it is a great idea to split the Rutland thread as there were too many in one place LOL!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Yes we do need a bit of housekeeping or is that threadkeeping?
Made various new threads.
Thanks Tiger for new threads, was wondering, like Karen, if MB could/should have it's own thread, as it is/was ?
Rutland's only nest with Webcam, and during arrival/egg lay/hatch/etc.
Project and other nest info may become lost in the fast and sometimes furious captures.
Just a thought....
Good afternoon all. Thats a good idea SunnyKate, a seperate one for Manton Bay :)
