So the new year has arrived and now the countdown to the osprey season has seriously started. What will it bring? That is as always a hard question to answer but it will no doubt brings lots of ups and downs.
So what are your wishes for the 2016 osprey season?

We do have four people, all of them very competent so the load is shared. It is good to know that people read it.
Also remember that there is now an archive going back to the start of 2013.

Yes but those were only me making predictions about when the eggs would hatch.
Better places to check would be here
or here
or Chocoholix osprey and chick data
Just to be completely sad it is now only 73 days to the date of EJ's earliest ever arrival (she turned up on March 21st in 2012). That sounds much better than counting down to April 2nd, which is 88 days away!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I'd like to see her early, too, Clare, but a nice round number for EJ's arrival and her contribution to Loch Garten's spring activities would be if she arrived on Sunday the 27th of March, Easter Sunday this year: 80 days from now, and my birthday as well!
Kind regards, Ann
Well here is the form for EJ
Seems as if the countdown clock says 84 days
It's lovely to see the countdown clocks for them, Tiger, but has the extra day in February been taken into account?
