Scotland lost their osprey, and we now rejoice in the recovering osprey program throughout UK.
Just so, USA almost lost our national bird, the bald Eagle. This picture illustrates that Americans too have cause to rejoice, because our national bird has been recovering quite nicely over past years.
Ummm-UMM Boy, would I like to have a choice from this menu! Now I see why Willow keeps coming back. I'd go with the rabbet pie first, I think. Rabbit as a food is almost unheard of here. Never in any restaurant I've been in and seldom in markets.
Willow, bet I've looked at these fields (moors) more that you ever did. :)

Some of you will remember FISH who used to post here regularly with pictures and comments. I was delighted to receive a Christmas card from her a few days ago. She included a nice message, but was not newsy, so I still don't know why she is no longer gabbing with us. I remember that she was having various computer problems and it is my feeling that she has given up with a computer altogether. Just a guess, I really don't know - but it was really good to hear from her.
Looking forward to this Lerwick Fire Festival at the end of January.
A GLOSSY IBIS on South Uist in January - must be a first.
Wonder if this bird is lost or a result of our warmer climate recently.
