HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here. Be sure to check the end of last week's thread for several new posts and a lovely photo from Limpy.
The Full Moon is Wednesday! Everyone have a wonderful week!
AQ – sorry about the snuffles and sneezes among the Granddaughters – I hope you and OH won’t catch any nasties this time! I think little ones find any “game” involving rhythm comforting. Even when it doesn’t involve loud noises – I am NOT suggesting drums for Christmas!
Annette – hope Lightning will be okay today. Have fun with Peanut!
Thinking of Dibnlib and Margo.
A dull day – going to be mostly wet. I shall be tidying various loose ends during the day, finishing Christmas menus and ordering more gift vouchers.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
AQ: Loved the sound of your cushions game! Often it's the simple things which can get their attention. I agree, you're never too old to travel: we meet quite a few really elderly folks whenever we go away.
Annette: Peanut will be a more demanding pet when he goes home, by the sound of it ;-)
OG: Hope all goes well for EE on his part of a marathon stint at the Dentist, today.
Linda – I had assumed you were sleeping late this morning. Sorry if the linen enquiry was intrusive! Pleased the caravan is dry enough to use for storage, but I do have visions of you gradually needing to buy the one next door to use as a "loft" when you want to stay there!
OG: Apparently it's very common now for people to find they have too many possessions! Some even pay for storage elsewhere to make room! We moved here from a much larger house, and as this was my mother's small bungalow, it was already full of furniture - this was sold, dumped, or given away in the main before we moved in but I kept a few useful pieces. It's taken me years to gradually sort and sell the antique china etc.
Although we added an extension to the tiny kitchen, and a conservatory, when we put a bedroom into the loft area we lost a huge attic and now only have a couple of tiny spaces under the eaves for stuff like suitcases, out of season clothes etc. And I've always been a hoarder!
Ps have now added to my original post, above!
Just so glad I am a "flinger"! When I was tidying this morning, I actually thought I need to re-read my Clearing the Clutter book again and identify more extraneous junk!
Good Morning Everyone. A wet, dark morning here. We still have all the lights on.
I didn't manage to get on here yesterday. A hairdressing appointment in the morning, then a Waitrose shop, followed by bowls. I had also mistakenly agreed to look after neighbour's pup for the day. OH took the pup for a very long walk, but she never seems to get tired. When her owner arrived home in the evening, we were both shattered, but the pup ( 9 months old ) was still hyper active. We couldn't leave her in her cage all day, so the pup was in our house most of the day. I certainly won't be agreeing to that arrangement too soon, again. LOL
EE we share a common bond today. My appt is 1410.
Limpy, Wonderful photographs of Olly. I do admire your patience in such cold temperatures. Good to hear that you are all fine.
Rosy, Thanks for your holiday news. The museum sounds very interesting and worth seeing.
Lynette, Pleased to read that you are fine, but just busy.
Annette, Peanut will not want to leave you. Plenty of food and treats, plus new toys. Ah, well Christmas is coming.I do love the " no wind " weather report.
Linda, I do enjoy a brisk walk along the sea front, in the autumn / winter. Sounds a good idea to store items in the caravan, instead of cluttering up your home. Good news about the wi-fi connection. When we moved here, we were paying for storage for over a year !!!
Dibnlib, Best wishes for your dental treatment. I hope you don't lose the tooth.
AQ, Sorry the grandchildren have caught colds. Do try and stay clear of catching it yourself.
OG, You are sounding so very organised for Christmas. I know you will also be thinking about how you will feel when your treatment commences, but I do feel rather unprepared when I read how well your plans are progressing. We are still not sure where we will be and when !!!
Good afternoon all been away for some time but always keeping up to date. Have enjoyed learning about everyones escapades and all the great photos I don't think I would have had Limpys patience to get these pictures of the otter. Hope EE and Dibnlib comes home from the dentists happy. My thoughts go out to Margo and her OH at this time and that OG is feeling OK and that the bathrooms get finished sooner rather than later.
I have all my C'mas shopping done, all done on the internet. I have had the car MOT and service done and been to a charity race night which was in aid of Brain Tumour research.H
My son is paying a flying visit this weekend so will be visiting our favourite eating place this W/E
Hope everyone keeps well
