HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
The Full Moon is Tuesday. It's the last of three consecutive perigee full moons (so-called "supermoons"). However, its appearance will be more subtle due to a Minor Lunar Standstill.
We are well into autumn here in Indiana. The winds are gusting today, and the brightly colored leaves are falling. The Texas storm front is flowing into the Midwest, and the remnants of Hurricane Patricia will be over my patch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not good news for my leaky roof.
I've just been bitten hard on the ankle by a spider, who has painfully reminded me that I really need to clean my house!
Many white-tailed deer have been grazing around my yard this past week, and I've spent a lot of time just watching them. If I stand still and stay quiet, I can view them from the doors and the windows and they aren't bothered by my presence. They're so beautiful; they nourish my soul.
Everyone have a great week and enjoy the moon!
Best wishes to OG and EE. I hope they've had safe travels and OG's treatment regimen will be effective and as easy as possible on her body. Thinking of you, Margo.

PS - HUGE flight of Barnacle Geese just went over - LOUD! Plenty of them at Caerlaverock ready for AutumnWatch!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG- so glad that you will be able to get radiotherapy in Carlisle rather than Edinburgh, so much better for you. I am looking forward to Autumn Watch, it must be on fairly soon now.
RITA - next week, Monday through Thursday, I think.
Yes, Autumn Watch is for 4 days from Monday 2nd Nov.
Back later to reply to posts!
OG good on change of venue for Radiotherapy.
I was just as lucky as Aberdeen was a ghastly road and 60 miles away also offered accommodation but no chance. Inverness was 50 miles not much closer but a far better road.
I loved Malta and the year after OH died took my girls there. Felt safe as such a family friendly island. When driving note all road signs are behind you on a wall!!
Daisy off to kennels as a long weekend in Stirling so a bit of culture and OH gets to see new Bond film:-)
WENDY - enjoy your trip to Stirling; hope Daisy will settle okay in kennels.
OG Daisy loves her kennels and it's taken ages to find a good one.
He gives her a shower before she comes home... Bonus:-)
Sounds like luxury!
More good news ..
Youngest heard that rescued dog has bee signed over to people looking after him. He gets on well with their dog so now a very happy rescue:-)
OG, With all that is going on in your home, I don't know how you could concentrate to write such a long post. I was going to ask you, if you were allowed to go to Carlisle. I am so pleased that you will be able to get post operative treatment so much nearer home, even though it will be in England :-))) I hope you get the phone call tomorrow.I did laugh about EE's hoarding and the skirting board.
Rita, Thank you for your lovely garden photographs.
Wendy, Thanks for the good news about the rescued dog. So pleasing an outcome.
