HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Annette: I thought I'd go ahead and start this week's thread. I don't mind at all. When my next freelance project comes in, you (or someone else) can do it if you want to.
Everyone have a great week!
LINDY Thank you for that.
LYNETTE don't think I said what great pics you posted.
RITA We think Lakeland has been in town about 15 months or so. Can't think what was there before. It is on the ground floor of the Eastgate near to the Falcon Square entrance. Glad you are fit enought to be able to go into town now.
thanks Dibnlib.
I'm thinking about OG as I am sure we all are. I imagine that she will contact her daughters first, before coming on here.
I am sure she will Heather.
I must admit I didn't as we had only been up here for 6 months when diagnosed.
My theory was what could they do 600 miles away.
Also they were 10 and 13 when they lost their Dad and there is only so much you can cope with.
We do laugh about it now as a few years ago whilst having a drink in the sun at Findhorn my youngest sais I should get a nasty black mole sorted out.
Haha it was my tattoo mark one of 4 from radiotherapy.
Hi Everyone. The rain stopped late afternoon here. Will be thinking of you all affected by the gales tonight, especially in the Highlands and Islands, who will have gusts of 70+ mph.
I have been clothes shopping today and have spent quite a lot on a skirt, blouse, jumper and jacket. I am very pleased with my purchases. I left OH with the joy of paying the bill, while I moved on to the shoe shop. LOL He is so patient. He wanted to go and eat, which we eventually did do.
My brother arrived yesterday about 2pm and didn't leave until 10.30pm. It was so good to see him so relaxed and his wife looking and behaving like her old self after two years plus, on extreme 'pain killer'.
Back later, when we have had dinner.
I agree,Wendy. My two youngest girls were very young as well when they lost their Dad, 13 and 15. When OH (their step dad ) was diagnosed 11 years ago I was quite nervous about giving them info as they were much younger than HIs children. You know that I was OHs child bride LOL
Update: met surgeon and one of specialist nurses today. Radiologist’s diagnosis was confirmed. Operation as soon as possible – will depend on management of current meds to suit anaesthetist, whom I will meet at my pre-op assessment because of my sleep apnoea but hopefully in a couple of weeks. Have opted for a “lumpectomy” after all, with biopsy on lymph nodes – accepting the slight uncertainty of easier and shorter surgery because of my general health. Will be given anti-biotics due to my lowered immunity. Radiotherapy will follow – and this is the nuisance part – in Edinburgh! So, basically, can leave tomorrow as planned, have the go ahead for the workmen next week and should know some dates by next Thursday.
Packed, had dinner and tired – maybe due to increased Potassium in my blood at last week’s regular test, so forbidden Tomatoes and Bananas! Excuse lack of replies – will probably post on Sunday – don’t forget clocks “fall back” here in the UK!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
BRENDA - so pleased for your brother and his wife - and you too!
OG all sounds well thought out.
Heather my OH is the child husband:-) but old head attached!!!
OG,I would think that most of us were with you in the doctor's office! Thank you so much for telling us what is going to happen. But Edinburgh - that is a pain :-( Take care, you have a busy time ahead, funeral, bathroom refurbishment etc. Just come back here when you can (no pressure lol)
Lots of love from OH and I xx
