HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Annette: I thought I'd go ahead and start this week's thread. I don't mind at all. When my next freelance project comes in, you (or someone else) can do it if you want to.
Everyone have a great week!
Oh LINDY!!!! You are an utter joy.
Lindy, priceless!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks for your kind thoughts, Rita, Annette and Heather!
Thanks! < BOW >
(I hate chopping them, too)
See they have found Breagha's tracker.
Which reminds me.......
OG: You asked about the 'Spiralizer' gadget which I bought from Lakeland. Its been fun - I took it to Wales with me to practice on for my salads, and its quick & easy to use, although I would not let a child near it, as it has a naked blade on top! You simply push your veg onto the top, then turn the actual vegetable itself (I used a courgette the first time) and as you turn it, out come wonderful curly strips, some of them quite long. They can go straight onto your plate or into a dish. I find I enjoy my veg if they are cut up in different ways, if you know what I mean - boring bits of cucumber and courgette just sliced are not inspiring to eat. There is a top part which you can use to use up the last of the item without cutting yourself, but mostly I just use my hand. The veg itself attaches to the gadget by the middle part, which just goes through and comes out as a pencil like cylinder but this stops you wavering as you turn, so its foolproof, really. Certainly wouldn't consider buying the larger version which you turn a handle on and looks as if it would take up an enormous amount of space on the worktop.
Hope this rambling description makes sense! :-D

Yes.
Extra verse I thought of when mopping kitchen floor, now added to the above ditty.
LINDA - thanks. "Spiralizer" looks interesting, but I don't think I'll bother - we don't entertain, and are happy to eat our vegs as they come - eg courgettes sliced to steam or wedges to roast!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
